Team India is all set to win the Melbourne Test on Saturday. Team India is only two wickets away from the historic win. The Indian team had a great opportunity to create history, but Pat Cummins broke like a wall and managed to get ahead in the match one day ahead. At stumps on the fourth day, Australia scored 258 runs in 8 wickets in 85 overs. Pat Cummins 60 * and Nathan Lyon 6 * are on crease. The hosts needed 141 runs to win.
On the fourth day of the third Test, India declared their second innings at 106 in 37.3 overs. Australia got the target of 399 runs. First innings hero Jaspreet Bumrah hit opener Aaron Finch (3) in the hands of Captain Virat Kohli. Soon after Ravindra Jadeja, Marcus Harris (13) got caught out by Mayank Agarwal at short leg. Mayank got a good catch.
After the lunch, Mohammed Shami gave Team India the third success. He got out Uthman Khawaja (33). After three wickets fell quickly, Shaun Marsh (44) and Travis Head converged on the Australian innings. Both shared a 51-run fourth-wicket partnership and reached the team score of 100 runs. Both of them had started picking up fast, when Bumrah finally broke the partnership with Shaun Marsh, LBW, and gave great success to Team India.
Jadeja then added Mitchell Marsh (10) to his spin track. They took a drive from Marsh and Captain Kohli on the cover put a simple catch. Travis Head 34 and Captain Pan handled the innings for a while by sharing 22 runs. After tea, Ishant broke this partnership by bolding the head.
Australian captain Tim Paine (26) also became the third victim of Jadeja. From here, Pat Cummins again shared a 39-run partnership with Mitchell Starc. Shami broke this partnership by bolding Stark. After that Cummins’s partnership of 43 runs for the 9th wicket with Leone, and managed to increase the match in the final day. Cummins completed the fifth half-century of his Test career. Jadeja took three wickets for Team India. Bumrah and Shami got two wickets while Ishant got one wicket.
