ISSF World Cup: India has Consistently Finished the ISSF World Cup with the first Position

In Shooting World Cup Abhishek Verma won the gold medal in the 10-meter pistol event and won the fifth Olympic quota for India. Indian shooters could not perform well in the 25-meter pistol of women and 50-meter rifle three positions on the last day of the competition.

Anjum Modgil and Diyansh Singh Panwar had opened India’s account with gold in the 10-meter air rifle mixed team event, while the young shooter Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary got the top position in the 10-meter air pistol mixed competition. After this, 17-year-old young shooter of Rajasthan Diyansh Singh Panwar won the silver medal in the individual event of the 10-meter air rifle.

Indian shooters could not win any medal on the last day, but with three gold and one silver in rifle/pistol event here, India will be ranked second in the table in the second International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup. Staying on India topped China (two gold, two silver, and one bronze) and got the top position. In the last World Cup held in Delhi, India was jointly on top with Hungary.

Manu Bhaker was ranked 17th with 586 points in the qualifying match of the 25-meter pistol event. Asian Games gold medalist Rahi Sarnobhatta with a score of 579 and 26th, and Chunky Yadav, 567, with 570 points.

In the women’s 50m rifle three position, 1169 points, India’s N. Gayatri 19, Sunidhi Chauhan (1160), 42 and Kajal Saini (1142) ranked 60th.
